HEARTFELT ADVOCACY

Heart Art Class

Everywhere in February thoughts turn to hearts – but for the Heart Art class at the North Fourth Art Center, hearts have been a focus since last November, when the semester began.

So what is Heart Art? “Right now we’ve been focusing on coming together as a group,” explains artist-teacher Amanda Replogle. We’ve been talking about the importance of kindness, doing thoughtful things for people like making cards.”

Heart Art has been taught before at North Fourth Art Center, as was another popular class, Advocacy Art. For the current class Amanda wants to tie topics like kindness and advocacy together because at the heart of the matter it’s important to advocate for what is important, now more than ever.
