Barbara J. McKees Trilogy of One and other poemsHUMAN FACETS This is Who I am look at me This is What I think listen to me This is When I cry console me This is How I feel embrace me This is Why Im here to love With this, Albuquerque poet and Tribune Columnist Barbara J. McKee
opens her first book-length collection of work. Trilogy of One and other poems,
reviewed by Socorro Romo (author of Tiliches
and No Artificial Anything) is cathartic, surreal at times. I am reminded
once again to think of Frida Kahlo, and all the women warriors I have known, and know of.
I honor and applaud Barbara McKees metamorphosis. Trilogy of One will
transplant you to another dimension, perhaps one you have never known. McKee has been published in poetry newsletters, anthologies, and university publications. The themes of McKees poetry and fiction lean toward the evolvement of disabled women in roles that society deems unobtainable.
