I agree - getting the right fit to a "chair" is an art in itself. Getting the right technician to fit you for a new one is important. I've had people spend more time helping me try on shoes than getting the right chair. But eventually, I learned how to say "no" when the chair wasn't right for me or when a technician thought he or she knew more than I do about what I should have in a new chair. Sometimes they do have good suggestions though and it's good to listen to one another.

If you feel your wheelchair could be improved for your health and comfort, don't let it go. Find a way to make a change. I know that's not easy as an after-fact. I sure hope for and will work for these sorts of problems to be resolved. I believe that can be accomplished through awareness. Awareness on everybody's part! Obviously, you know your part - you're very aware!
