Like Dara, I too have been used as a weapon for punishment. But my experiences have been much more covert than what Dara has experienced. My former father-in-law used my disability as a tool to find out why my ex was marrying me. He asked my ex if the reason he was marrying me was a "power trip". Apparently he felt that his son lacked a sense of strength, and was marrying a crip woman to feel superior. Weird.
