About Community Arts

VSA arts of New Mexico Community Arts Program provides education and training in the arts at a wide range of sites across the spectrum of the community, reaching out to seniors, children and youth at risk, adults with mental illness, and children with Autism. In addition, the City CenterArts program works in collaboration with the city of Albuquerque in addressing the needs of underrepresented children and youth at city funded community centers by providing a variety of art, dance, theater, and music programs during after-school hours.

All of the Community Arts programs are developed and fostered by AmeriCorps members, who make up the Community Arts and Outreach Team. For more information on working on this team, please visit the AmeriCorps page.

The North Fourth Art Center is operated by VSA arts of New Mexico, a not-for-profit organization, affiliated with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the national VSA arts network.
